Jade Leap, LPC

Jade Leap is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and Virginia with specialized counseling training in sport and performance psychology. Jade earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science from Manhattan College in 2016, where she played collegiate volleyball. Later, she went on to earn a Master’s degree (M.Ed.) from Boston University in Counseling with a specialization in sport and performance psychology. Jade has experience working with high school and college athletes from a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, track & field, cross-country, hockey, football, tennis, and rowing.

Jade is passionate about helping athletes and performers overcome barriers that hinder performance, whether it be performance anxiety, burnout, low confidence, stress, interpersonal issues with teammates or coaches, or recovery from injury. In her counseling work, Jade strives to build strong relationships rooted in authenticity, which allows her to tailor interventions to each athlete's unique needs. Jade uses an integrative approach to treatment, incorporating treatment interventions from CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy. She is able to serve athletes from both individual and team sports.

Prior to joining Elite Performance Psychology, Jade gained years of clinical experience providing individual, group, and family counseling services in a variety of different settings, including residential, community-based, juvenile justice, and outpatient. Jade’s clinical work focused on treating depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, and substance use.
