Dr. Jessica Moore
Dr. Jessica Moore is a Postdoctoral Resident with experience providing mental health and mental performance services to athletes and teams from a variety of sports including basketball, track and field, cross country, soccer, swimming, softball, baseball, tennis, rowing, gymnastics, and golf.
Dr. Moore's experience spans various college counseling centers and collegiate athletic departments where she developed clinical interest in performance anxiety, athlete identity, adjustment/transition concerns, and interpersonal concerns. Dr. Moore utilizes an integrative approach in therapy blending Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques.
Dr. Moore received her BSEd in Health and Physical Education from the University of Georgia and her MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Ohio State University. She then became a high school teacher and basketball coach prior to pursuing her doctorate. She earned her Ph.D in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia where she specialized in sport psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at the University of Notre Dame working in the counseling center and the athletic department.
