We focus on each athlete and performer as an individual and do not take a one-size fits all approach.  We will work with you to assess your needs and develop an individual plan to help you reach your goals.

Sport Psychology

Athletes are experienced in dedicating significant time and energy toward enhancing and perfecting their physical game.  Yet, we spend relatively little time training the mental aspects of performance.  We will work with you to help you strengthen your mental game so that you can achieve elite performance.  

Common topics explored in sessions include:

  • goal setting

  • self-talk

  • focus

  • imagery

  • developing routines

  • confidence

  • motivation

  • arousal regulation (relaxation and activation)

  • performance anxiety

  • leadership

  • communication

  • managing injury

Mental Health

While performance and mental health are listed separately, they are inextricably linked.  How we are thinking, feeling, acting, and interacting off the field is closely connected to how we perform on it.  And similarly, our performance impacts many aspects of our life including mood, sleep, relationships, focus, etc.  At Elite Performance Psychology, we are all licensed mental heatlh providers and recognize the importance of overall well-being.  We emphasize mental health on a spectrum and strive to help all of our clients move toward optimal mental health.  

We believe all individuals can work to enhance their overall mental health, and we also work with those struggling with specific mental health concerns.

Common mental health concerns addressed are:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Grief/Loss

  • Relationship concerns

  • Stress management

Return to Play/Injury Services

Recovery from injury can be challenging for all, but as an athlete injury comes with a whole new set of challenges.  Being removed from your teammates and the sport you love can add to the physical challenge of rehab.  

We have extensive experience working with elite athletes to build the mental components of return to play.  We will work with you to help you cope with injury and prepare to return to play mentally stronger than you were pre-injury.
